(2) Artificial turf filled with particles
Filled turfgrass is accepted by the majority of users in China because of its international advanced level, good sports performance and good practicability. Most of its materials are polymers of polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP). The fibers of this lawn are longer than those without sand filling, and the surface is backfilled with 2-3 mm of quartz sand and rubber particles. Its sports characteristics are very close to natural lawn, and it can be used all year round and all-weather. Usually after the lawn is laid, it needs to be maintained for 6-8 months to reach its best condition. This type of lawn is especially suitable for laying outdoors, and its warranty period is usually 5-8 years, but its actual life can exceed 5 years. In long-term dry weather, as long as a little water is sprinkled on the lawn, the risk of athletes being bruised can be reduced.
(3) Natural-artificial hybrid lawn
It is no longer a dream to combine natural turf and artificial turf. Now there is such a hybrid lawn. The grass of this lawn is natural, and the root structure of the grass is reinforced with plastic, for example, the grass is wrapped in a net made of plastic. grow on the bottom. In this way, the user-friendliness of natural turf is combined with the durability of artificial turf.
In China, artificial turf filled with particles accounts for 95%, but many schools tend to ignore important construction links when choosing products. The construction technology of artificial turf is very important for the maintenance and service life of artificial turf in the later stage.
To make technical preparations, make “three links and one leveling” and familiarize yourself with the drawings first, check and accept the quality of foundation construction, the laying site must be clean, the surface should be dry, smooth, free of debris, wax stains, and grease, and the construction temperature should be kept at a low temperature. Above 10°C. Use theodolite or other instruments to measure whether the surrounding facilities conform to the size of the sports field. If there is any inappropriateness, it should be corrected immediately, and the allowable error is ±5 mm.
Secondly, before the artificial grass is laid, it is necessary to conduct a quality inspection of the turf with the artificial turf production unit to check whether the material quality, density and weaving process of the turf are qualified to meet the use requirements. There should be no more than 30 connection points in a standard site. At the same time, check whether the quality of the filling meets the environmental protection requirements. During the laying process, special tools should be used to trim and seam the lawn according to the specifications, and cut the lapped lawn evenly. Use special glue for artificial grass sports fields to connect, and the seam should not be larger than 2 mm. When bonding, the temperature should not be too low, and the ambient temperature should be above 10°C for construction; in addition, it is not suitable for construction in rainy or mildewy weather, otherwise it will cause the bonding time to be too long or even cause non-sticking.
The filling of quartz sand and rubber particles is an important link in the construction process. Only after the artificial turf surface material is installed and checked to be flat and firm meets the requirements can the quartz sand and rubber particles be filled. The specification standard and quantity of filling are determined respectively according to the height and density of the grass. It should be noted that special sand injection machines and grass brushing equipment must be used to fill the particles, so as to ensure the flatness and uniformity of the field, and at the same time help to improve the sports performance of the field. Moreover, quartz sand and rubber particles must be completely dry materials before construction, otherwise the grass stems will be overwhelmed and affect the filling quality. Quartz sand should be filled in multiple layers, and each layer needs to be brushed back and forth with a brushing machine to make the filling fall and enrich. Usually, it is better to spread back and forth more than 20 times on a site.
